An American manufacturer of medical capital equipment approached us to recruit their European sales manager. With our years of practical experience and hands-on recruitment style, we quickly found the right person.
We began by approaching our existing network of contacts in the European medical industry to determine the correct profile for the candidate according to European market standards. As it turned out, we learned that we the right individual should be based out of Germany. To generate interest, we used Internet-based recruiting companies to advertise the position and placed an ad in a leading medical trade magazine.
After we had narrowed down our shortlist, our HR experts conducted the first round of interviews with four candidates on location in Germany. Two were selected for a second interview, which took place at the Medica tradeshow in Dusseldorf where our client was exhibiting. A final interview with the selected candidate took place at our client’s facility in the U.S., where he had the opportunity to meet his future colleagues and get a firsthand impression of the organization. Shortly after the final interview, he started working for our client.
In 2007, EuroDev Services started working with an American manufacturer of liquid measuring equipment. Because of their growing business in the European market, they wanted to appoint several business development managers in three different European regions.
The company wanted to outsource the entire HR process, from recruiting and hiring to HR administration, to a European partner. They looked at several candidates, including several well-known large payroll organizations. EuroDev Business Services, however, won the business thanks to our flexible HR outsourcing models and our personal, hands-on approach.
Once we put an employment structure in place for them, we hired their Dutch, French and German business development managers, and administered the details of their employment. To simplify things for our client, we’ve arranged for salaries to be paid on a monthly basis in the respective countries in which the client’s new hires work so that everything is handled in accordance with national legislation. Meanwhile, our client receives a single invoice at the end of the month that covers all the costs of its European employees.
We recently streamlined the VAT process for a leading North American manufacturer of pet products. The client has a warehouse in the south of the Netherlands where it receives bimonthly container shipments from Asia, and ships products all over Europe, including to non-EU countries such as Switzerland, Norway, Turkey and Russia.
We applied for a Dutch VAT number and opened a Dutch bank account on our client’s behalf in order to collect VAT refunds, and pay import VAT and duties.
Each month, our client provides us with:
Each quarter, we file for our client’s VAT refund, and they receive it in their European bank account within a few weeks of filing.
