EuroDev’s strategy and relationship building brought advanced crane automation to Europe, turning a big opportunity into a success.

In a matter of a few months, EuroDev facilitated an agreement with a leading steel warehouse in the Netherlands, enabling the installation of advanced warehouse automation technology. This site will serve as a live demonstration center for future prospects, laying the groundwork for broader regional expansion.

 

Why Now Was the Right Time 

This project hit the sweet spot between market readiness and technological fit. European steel producers face stricter sustainability requirements and tougher workforce challenges than their North American counterparts. Space is limited, labor is harder to source, and efficiency is paramount. Fully autonomous crane operations, powered by AI and specialized software, address these needs by maximizing warehouse capacity without additional headcount.

 

The Human Touch Behind the Win

EuroDev’s Business Development Team, along with Leon, our Business Development Manager,  invested months leading up to the deal gaining a deep understanding of the technology and translating its benefits into a compelling value proposition for the European market. A personal site visit proved pivotal, securing leadership buy-in, increasing the project budget, and showcasing EuroDev’s ability to bridge North American innovation with European market demands.

What’s Next

The first installation will be operational before the year’s end, with monthly client visits planned. Early feedback will be instrumental in refining the approach for future rollouts.
